on the left hand side of the page)
Within the members-only section of the website,
the IDRN has put together two web pages, a funding bulletin, and
a training bulletin. Brief details on these are below.
To gain access to these pages, you will need to
register with the IDRN
(membership is free). If you are already a member of the network,
then login, and click
on the 'bulletins' link, under 'User Options', on the left hand
side of the page.
Funding bulletin
The funding bulletin contains up to date information
on funding sources available for infectious disease researchers,
such as
- The grants that are available to support your research
- Fellowships and scholarships
- Meeting prizes
- Travel grants
As our searches identify a wide range of opportunities
a major part of the workload is classifying these into subject areas
so that members can rapidly identify those that are relevant to
their interests without needing to read the whole bulletin. A “What’s
new?” section is also included, to allow readers to quickly
see what funding sources have been added to the bulletin this month.
The bulletin has hyperlinks to different subject areas and to more
detailed information on the internet.
Training bulletin
This contains up to date information on:
- Short courses, on subjects such as clinical trials, governance,
statistics as well as infection-specific short course
- Postgradute study, in infection-related subjects
- Upcoming conferences and workshops
Like the funding bulletin, this is also classified
into both broad and specific subject areas,
to allow readers to quickly identify events and training that is
of interest to them.
