Call
for proposals for research strategy workshops and
protocol development groups
| The IDRN is currently working on a programme of events for the next 12-18 months. One of the resources that the IDRN offers is to organise research strategy workshops or training workshops on specific themes, and smaller, more focused protocol development groups. We are now inviting members to approach us with proposals for such events. We aim to support 1-2 workshops each year, and at least 5 protocol development groups a year, that are led by IDRN members. We will accept suggestions at any time. |
Research Strategy Workshops Details of all our previous larger events can be found on the IDRN website at http://www.idrn.org/researchworkshops.php . The presentations and reports from these events are available in the log-in area of the website. If you have an idea that could be
constructed into a workshop or conference, then please do approach us.
The workshops aim to bring together researchers from a range of disciplines
around a particular theme to identify research priorities and to foster
research collaborations. The cost of the workshop will be
part-subsidised by the IDRN (e.g. venue hire, catering, pay travel expenses
to speakers etc). |

Protocol Development Groups (PDG) Details of our previous protocol development groups can be found here: http://www.idrn.org/pdg.php If you have a specific research question, or small research area, but need the involvement of colleagues in other disciplines, then contact us. We can contact people on your behalf, who have the appropriate knowledge and expertise, book a venue and any catering, and take the minutes of the meeting. We can also help with literature searches, and monitor the websites of the various funding bodies for suitable calls. . |
