National Infectious Disease Research Network Consultation Exercise

 

The Department of Health requested that we conduct a consultation exercise to seek views on how a national network could best serve the needs of researchers and commissioners of research.  There were three key component to this consultation: -

  • Questionnaire to all principal investigators currently conducting infectious disease research, identified through the National Research Register.
  • Written submissions requested from representatives of all the national organisations and professional societies, with an interest in infection (see below for the complete list of those approached).
  • Structured interviews with key stakeholders, who represent a wide variety of specialties within infectious disease research nationwide.
