Aim of meeting

The aim of the workshop is to stimulate the audience about research in the areas of Salmonella, E. coli, Listeria and Campylobacter. The morning session will consist of presentations in these 4 areas, and in the afternoon, there are break out groups that will focus on identifying the gaps in knowledge and the key research questions that need to be answered.

So as well as an informative and interesting day, the main workshop outcomes will ideally include a series of research questions from the small discussion groups, enthusiasm to take these ideas forward (with IDRN support), plus collaborations that are renewed or initiated amongst workshop attendees.

The event is being chaired by Professor Chris Bartlett, and the planning of this event has been supported by Malcolm Bennett (Liverpool), Yvonne Boyd (DEFRA), Dilys Morgan (HPA), Diane Newell (VLA), Stephen Palmer (Cardiff), Chris Parry (Liverpool), Robert Smith (NPHS Wales), Qutub Syed (HPA) and Stephen Wyllie (DEFRA).
